Buckwheat

When I pick a puppy from a litter I always have a name first, then I pick the puppy that matches the name. The real Buckwheat from the old "Little Rascals" always made me laugh - that's what I was looking for when I picked out my next puppy. Buckwheat was from a family of rescued Irish Setters. Mom and Dad (Setters) were both registered. He was my Father's Day present in 1992.
We had been looking for about 2 years for a Setter puppy without any luck. For some reason they are not popular in this area. I was sleeping (I worked nights) during the day, when my wife came into the bedroom with 3 Irishman about 6 weeks. I was up for the rest of the day choosing which one was Buckwheat.

Buckwheat loved his Bye-Bye rides,
but his greatest love was motorcycles.

He wasn't very fond of my new camera. We played jokes on each other-it was my turn here.

We dedicate this page in your memory. You were a very special little guy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. We really miss you and will always love you.
