Bobby &
Noelle Try to Save Little Molly
Molly
died on September 18, 2001, in Bob's arms as we rushed her to the
vet. She had been fine one minute...then we couldn't find her and
she was under a bed...limp. We ran for the car and were frustrated at the rush hour traffic that seemed to be moving
slower than usual. Bob held her close and kept telling her not to
leave him. The vet thinks it was heart failure or a stroke. She
was 11.
Molly was a miniature, long-hair, red dachshund.
She always had a smile for everyone, kids loved her, but her daddy
(Bobby) was her whole world. She would literally scream when he walked
in the house and she would put his fingers in her mouth. I tried
to help him with his grief...but he was despondent. As I searched
online for an urn, I ran across a website that took online tributes
for grieving pet-owners to make towards their beloved pets who were
gone. I wrote a tribute and sent a copy of it to Bob. He carried
it around in his pocket. We checked that website all week looking
for the tribute until it was posted online. I decided to use my skills as a web developer and
make a website dedicated to Bobby and Molly.
Note - January 2007 -
Molly is still a very tender subject. Her daddy appreciates this
website, but still has a hard time visiting it even five years
later. I took a break for a year from posting free tributes, as it is a very time-consuming project, but am offering them again for 2007. The website/hosting
is still 100% funded by this family and an occasional donation.
If you want to help, please consider ordering one of my 8 x 10 photo
memorials. They look awesome and everyone who has seen one
says, "You oughta do that for a living."... You can see
them here. Molly is on one of them.
